Default EMG Tomorrow

Hey All,

Tomorrow I am going for my EMG at the neuro. I am really nervous, although my neuro tells me he is doing it just for piece of mind…as he thinks I have BFS.

I am hoping that my EMG comes out clean.

Wish me luck.

Tony

Hi Tony,

I have little doubt your EMG will be clean. Rather than wish you luck, I wish you would take matters into your own hands and get yourself to a good counselor.

Hi Tony,
I truly do wish you well...and saw that you posted on the board for anxiety...I think this was a very important step that you took...it is my hopes as well that you will seek professional counseling...if you continue to have fears after you do get your EMG back..
I have strong doubts that you do have ALS..but I am not a physician..I can not diagnos...all I and others here can try to do is point you in the right direction...to encourage you to try to seek the type of help that you need from those that can diagnos ( physicians and physcologists ) in your area .from your posts I have seen nothing inconsistent with your doctors opinions that you do not have ALS...
No matter..what life holds for us..we have to deal with anxiety and fear...some need a little more help than others...again I do wish you luck in getting your fears under control..and hope you will continue to take steps in that direction..
Take care,
Lisa

I wish you luck as well

Please let us know the results. I've been where you're at...having unexplainable symptoms that dr's didn't seem to understand. It turned out that I had/have TN. However, for 16 yrs no one knew what I was dealing with and it was difficult.

I can say that therapy helped me to deal with the anxieties surrounding my symptoms and saved the quality of my life at the time in many ways.

Best to you,

KD

Hey All,

I had my EMG yesterday...and it was absolutely clean. I had a clean neuro exam and a clean EMG. So I can put my ALS fears behind me. I am sorry if I was a bother on the board...but appreciate everyones feedback. Good luck to all, and to all afflicted with ALS...you are in my prayers.

Thanks to all...from my heart,

Tony
