Reside in St. Louis area.
Diagnosed a little over 2 weeks ago after seeing one medical specialist after another and had cervical fusion surgery scheduled. At this time, I have left leg and arm weakness and loss of dexterity in left hand. In hindsight, symptom probably began mid-July with mild left sided limp subsequent to a fall. A step increase in balance issues began around mid October. Mostly stable since then except that fasciculations began about 2 weeks ago. I get around fairly well with a cane and can manage stairs so far. Ordered a stair lift. Trying to wrap my mind around it so that I can plan and not focus on it all the time. |
