Heart I miss my great grandmother

My great grandmother had Alzheimer's and died when I was 11. When the last chance I had to see her at the retirement home came, I stayed in the car while my mother and little sister went in to see her. I didn't want to see her because she didn't know who I was anymore and asked the same questions over and over. Twenty four years later, I continue to regret that I did not see her (unknowingly) for the last time. And it was for selfish reasons!!!!! If I could only go back and change that!!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to leave you a hug Katiebell and remind you that she is in a better place.

Even though she wasn't aware that I chose not to see her, I feel bad. You never know when you'll see someone for the last time. Every moment is precious when shared with our loved ones and should not be taken for granted.

Heart

You must forgive yourself...you were only 11 and I'm sure she'd forgive you.

Everyone should know that they're not alone when in the process of dying. I didn't do that for my great grandmother.
