Hi,
There is currently some cutting edge research into the bacteria Chlamydia Pneumoniae (Cpn) (no relation to the STD). There have been found many links between this bacteria and many chronic illnesses including Alzheimer's Disease (AD). In fact do a google on Dr. Brian Balin alzheimer Chlamydia Pneumoniae. The first link (The Tangled Neuron) you will come to describes how Dr Balin had a look at frozen brain tissue of both victims of AD and the tissue of non AD victims. He found cpn infection in every AD sample, but no infection in the non AD samples. Could Alzheimer's be caused by cpn infection? Dr Charles Stratton also thinks so. Dr Stratton of Vanderbilt University is an expert in the cpn bug. He is about to start a research lab looking into this terrible bug. Thanks, Mark Hall Last edited by Chemar; 03-24-2008 at 04:36 PM. Didn't I just read all this in the MS forum?? Is this something that you're going to relate to all chronic illnesses listed on here? Sorry but I'm suddenly a bit sceptic, where I actually wasn't before!

Hi,
I'm just pointing people to a different path of research, and Dr Balin's research into AD is very interesting and worth reading. Thanks, Mark |
