I'm a nurse so I guess I should know this but is there a difference between a stroke and a ruptured aneurism? They are both bleeds in the brain.

That is a great question. It seems that a "Hemorrhagic stroke is the end result of a ruptured aneurysm while a ischemic stroke is where there's constriction of blood supply to the brain usually by a blood clot. Both strokes create interruption of blood supply." Got this from a site called "wisegeek".

From the what I know, the stroke usually kills a part of the brain, along with many aspects of ones life, if one survives. A ruptured aneurysm either causes radical brain damage or takes away all life quickly, usually the latter. TT-Stroke survivor since '03
