Hello,

I have what is called a "giant aneurysm" in my ascending carotid artery and another on the right side. The giant is 1.8 cm, the other is 1 cm. Three years ago I had 32 coils placed in my giant and in another surgery had 12 placed in the other aneurysm.

I developed some blood getting into the giant so they opted to put in a pipeline stent last month and I am doing just great. It was a bit unnerving but all in all feels like a success. Lots of re-thinking the meaning of my life etc...and I have a new appreciation for all of the little things.

I have had trouble with my left eye since the aneurysm was so close to the nerve so I have double vision but it has been somewhat fixed with vertical and horizontal prisms in the left lens of my glasses. I am unable to drive at night due to "night blindness" but that seems like a small price to pay!

My best to you.
