Default Hello Kayleigh

Welcome to Neuro Talk. I really hope your mother recovers. The smoking and drinking in any case, isn't a good idea for her. While she is recovering, this is a great time to stop. 45 years old is young, and she has had a big event, in fact two as you stated. Many stroke patients need alot of care to recovery. My son is a OPT, who takes care of people with these kinds of medical issues. Lots of therapy, tender loving care, will go a long way with helping your mom to recover. Being young, can also be a benefit, as in general you are stronger, may be able to rebound faster. Noone really can tell you just how far your mom will come along. I tend to look at the positive and take one day at a time. Each day is precious toward getting better. There are also alot of people on NT, who can guide you about aneurysms. Support will be here for you. I will keep you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers. ginnie
