November 4th I had a 10.6mm anuerysm coiling and stent. It's behind my left eye. I'm now 3 weeks out. I've have my 2 week post op and mentioned this to the physician who did the procedure. The trouble is, is I'm having these awful headaches from back left side of my head going up to the top left. Nowhere near the aneurysm site. They are only relieved with pain medication. They are pretty continual throughout the day. The procedure was done in seattle, Washington and I live in Alaska so just going in to see him again isn't a real option and my primary care physician is full until December 30th! Are these normal? Should I be concerned? They aren't, as they say "the worst headache of my life" but they are pretty bad.

Tammy,
I hope someone with experience answers your post. I have read on the Brain Aneurysm Forum support site that what you are experiencing is not uncommon and it can take months to heal. My unruptured Annie is 8mm x 4mm I have delayed coiling/stent treatment due to other health issues and because I do not want to take Plavix and aspirin. Did your doctor do a metal allergy test? |
