Wink for Lynn

**"No one said it was easy "
***Inspired by "Cold Play"

The phrase "No one said it was easy", so true
We are all finding out how much that means
Life has changed & we don’t know what to do
Everything we once thought, not as it seems

No one said it was easy but this devastation
I use to run into burning buildings fearless
Now I fear everyday, what is my destination?
Cannot make the feelings go away any less

Everyday since that day it has not been easy
Try to deal with the fear, pain and the loss
Miss the "life" I had, before this happen to me
& Living comes with quite an enormous cost

It will only be as easy as we let ourselves be
We’ll only get better if we let the anger go
Once you accept it then you will start to see
Control of healing's what you need to know

I found out it was not easy, I must confess!
Got the surgery then was sent on my way
Had to learn on my own for me what is best
Got self help books & do the games I play

It’s not easy upholding an optimistic attitude
Normal to have days with worry and tears
Know there will be days with intense moods!
You’re the only one who can fight the fear

Life is not easy and certainly not close to fair
It happened and there’s nothing we can do
The situation will improve but only if you care
Seek the support of the ones who love you

Taking a very long to time to heal is not easy
If you accept it and try to keep moving on
Someday, maybe we will be who we use to be
Fear, pain, anger, depression will be gone?

Taking control is not easy, it is in your heart
Dispersing your tears, fears and the doubts
So that you can begin a new & inspired start
Can’t do that until your feelings are all out

We all have to learn our recovery is not easy
We have to learn take it one day at a time
Survived incredibly we should feel lucky to be
Value everyday, with the true love of mine

Hi Tricia

I've always enjoyed reading your poetry. You somehow put into words the things that i've been feeling also, it's really comforting. Please continue to post your beautiful sentiments.
