Default Welcome

Hi Charty,

Welcome to Neurotalk, glad you've joined us. I have no advice when it comes to saunas and shunts - hopefully Jess will be along and be able to offer some support. Other wise how are you doing today?

All the best.

Hi
I don't have a sauna, and was told to stay away from them and hot tubs, they both can raise blood pressure and we are more at risk then most people. If you must go in one, limit it to no more then 5 min, thats what the doc told me about hot tubs and I would think the same would go for saunas. Check with your doc to be sure. I was in a hot tub too long and fell in the shower and cut my hand open requiring 12 stitches, so I just stay away from them.
