Very sorry about your Mom and I'm wondering just what it was they gave her to paralyze her and why? It sounds like she had a rupture! Were they doing a a Cat or MRI/MRA on her at the time? You need to get some answers from these people and find out. Very sorry for your loss..bless your mom
