Hi all, I had 23 staples on this last repair, and the swelling is still there, its been almost 2 weeks, does anyone know how long it takes to go down. Staples were removed two days ago

You are still in very early days, which i hated when people said to me. It took about 8 weeks for my face (left side) to get back to normal. Also i found/find that if i do to much then left side gets a bit swollen. I think it is my bodies way of saying slow down.
I wish you the best. It feel so good to get those staples out,eh.

Wow 8 weeks, I wear glasses and my daughter had one of the sides removed on an old pair so I could see. The problem is I wear bi-focals, so the eyes get dizzy when they tilt. The surgeons got crazy too and cut me from lower right ear to center top of head along hairline. Are you male or female, I am going to get the rest of the hair clipped so it alls grows in even too. I am wearing hats when company comes by, or a scarf. I am glad to be here responding though.

Yeah,
It really is a journey we are on. I can relate to the glasses as I ruined a pair myself, lol.
I am female, age 45 and also I am blessed to be alive. I too have the same great cutting job, except all mine is behind left ear to top of head. My hair was not shaved, My surgeon just took a very thin line of hair off. If you were to see me you would never now i had brain surgery, totally amazing.
I have spoken with others that have shaven the rest of there heads to make all things even. I too wore scarf's for about 8 weeks.
I am so glad you are posting, and seeing family and friends. Recovery can feel like it takes forever. I will be 6 months post op on the 20th of this month, and this journey continues.
Please feel free to pm anytime......
