Default Brain aneurysm healing, clipped, 3 weeks ago

I feel short quick pains at the area of clipping and around, sometime it feels like fluid rushing around in there, I knew to expect the numbness on m head, are these other feelings the brain and skull healing?

Default Clipping before rupture occurs

Thank you for the compliment, but I didn't look at this as being brave to choose to have the clipping done, I looked at it as being smart. Better to get it done then to wait and have a rupture. I requested having something to calm me down as soon as we got to the hospital.
I also got a 2nd opinion and talked to God too. I pretended that I was just getting a mole taken off right up to the time of surgery, (this helped alot too.,keeping me calm.) Yes, I feel lucky to be here, and I still worry, hoping that all has been done correctly and well. I don't like being dependent on others for so much, but if this is the only price to pay, then its ok. I had a larger one coiled last July, and I have a smaller one they are watching.
After this surgery, the surgeon said that the artery wall was so thin he could see the blooed rushing through it when he opened me up. He lead me to believe that it was very close to rupturing. Yes, I have thanked God for sparing me, I guess he has more plans for me.

Congratulations, you are doing it...........

I still say recovery is a journey and changes all the time. I am coming up on 6 months post op of my clipping. I really am starting to feel more normal in regargs to the healing of my head..
The zaps you are feeling are nerves coming back to life. (that is what was told to me) When they cut me they cut through a lot of nerves. I also could feel the swelling, and the swelling going down.
I hope you are still resting and taking good care of yourself, as you are in such early days. Things will get better.

My surgeon told me the same thing when he went in, that it was so thin, he could see the blood was right there, and rupture was only a matter of time. How blessed are we?

Thank you for explaining the zaps. What exactly is taking it easy? I have been taken to different stores to walk a little bit by my daughter. Yesterday we even went to the grocery store, which I really liked. We don't stay out more then 1-2 hrs, last night my legs felt weak, I guess I used them too much. I am not allowed to drive until I go back to the surgeon on March 9th, and after yesterday, my daughter said she could see why, I was cutting people off with the cart. I have been wearing a hat with a rim, so maybe it was blocking my sight?? Nancy

Sounds like you are getting out a bit, which is great for the soul. Fresh air is such a plus. Also maybe you needed to cut some people off, lol.
Did you ever cut the rest of your hair off?
Resting for me was just what you are doing, watching movie, going to a store or restaurant and then back home, chatting saved me, as there were others to talk with. and just doing small things around the house. When i could finally drive again, i also started very slow. The first time i drove to store, i just cried, as driving is such a privilege, and i was so happy to be going the right way. Also it felt so good to be alone.
I wish you the best and keep posting, and please come to chat, that will help pass the time as well.

Yes, I had it all cut off to the width of a finger, and it does feel better. How long before you started driving? I am going to Florida by plane on Saturday and staying with my son for 10 days, its warmer there and I will not be looking at things that need to be done. What time do you go to the chat board? Nancy

Hope you have great trip to Florida, It is suppose to get cold this week-end, but it will still be warm to anyone from the North.
Hope all is well.

I wish it was my 6th month, I bet you feel like nothing ever happened. I am so grateful to be here, can't wait to feel normal again, if I ever do. When the staples were taken out I asked the nurse that did it if I could swim, she said just don't get any pool chemicals on the incision, my husband got me a speedo swim cap, but I am afraid it will be too tight, I will just swim with my head out of the water, or in the gulf, no chemicals there right!
