Hello All,
I have been involved in the Peripheral Neuropathy and Myasthenia Gravis forums, but this is my first post here. I had an unruptured, 4mm, wide necked aneurysm in the central coratoid artery coiled with platinum coils and a stint on January 28, 2009. Woke from the procedure with a blind spot in the R eye, which has baffled my opthalmologist - not brain stroke, glaucoma, retinal issues .... Also went into a flare on my MG, and now am experiencing a rather fast progression of neuro symptoms related to polyneuropathy which was existing previously, though not diagnosed - current neuro indicated the polyneuropathy and it looks as though CIDP is probable though not confirmed yet. Has ANYONE experienced any abnormal adverse reactions that might indicate a sensitivity to platinum toxicity? I found that the chemo therapy with platinum is contraindicated for those with CIDP, but can't find any specific contraindiction for the platinum coils. Thanks for your time/responses. Becky
