Hello again,

When you saw the doctor last week did she/he talk to you about seeing a counsellor at all? You need help now before this becomes even more overwhelming.

Hi ddaniel3230

I am sorry that your anxiety is very high at the moment.

Adding to what Lara wrote, I have found that learning CBT methods from my clinical psychologist has been very helpful in dealing with my depression and anxiety.

All the best.

If you decide that is the best thing for you, I am sure that you will get good help.

This is not about me but a few years ago I spent about a month as a private psychiatric hospital patient - for me it was a positive life-changing experience.

With care.

Since childhood I was bullied and hiding this from everyone because of shame and fear. Now I am dealing with social anxiety and all I can say is that pdocs might get you fat with their meds, might make you feel suicidal, foggy, etc.

Have you considered buspirone?

All the best!

Really look at the magnesium deficiency, so many are deficient and I just posted a thread on mag and anxiety. This missing mineral causes so many health conditions, I believe and the more I read and study about it, the more I'm convinced. I take mag thru the day.

I'm no doctor or scientist but working with alternatives for over 25 yrs and so many are deficient and deficiency causes so many negative health issues.

You may want to get your testosterone levels checked. an extreme amount of stress over a prolonged period of time can affect your hormones which I have personally seen cause panic attacks and high anxiety. ask your doctor to test your testosterone, estradiol and thyroid hormone levels.
**

My son had panic attacks and high anxiety that was uncontrollable. taht all went away after an HRT doctor identified low testosterone, thyroid and vitamin d and treated him. I saw the anxiety clear to a normal level that someone may get rather than extreme and uncontrollable. he back to being a normal good natured guy. his hormone imbalance was cause by a concussion but i recall the doc telling me it can happen from trauma or high stress. the HPTA axis may not reset properly for some individuals after the event occurs so they remain in an imbalanced state. find an HRT doc and ask to be tested.
