You may want to get your testosterone levels checked. an extreme amount of stress over a prolonged period of time can affect your hormones which I have personally seen cause panic attacks and high anxiety. ask your doctor to test your testosterone, estradiol and thyroid hormone levels.

My son had panic attacks and high anxiety that was uncontrollable. taht all went away after an HRT doctor identified low testosterone, thyroid and vitamin d and treated him. I saw the anxiety clear to a normal level that someone may get rather than extreme and uncontrollable. he back to being a normal good natured guy. his hormone imbalance was cause by a concussion but i recall the doc telling me it can happen from trauma or high stress. the HPTA axis may not reset properly for some individuals after the event occurs so they remain in an imbalanced state. find an HRT doc and ask to be tested.
