Default controlling personality

My daughter is very controlling. She is married, has 4 children. My oldest grand daughter married a year ago, against her mothers wishes. My daughter would not go to her wedding. She did not approve of the man my grand daughter married. My daughter will not speak to her daughter for hurting her so much. What is this controlling personality called?
