Default Religious OCD?

I am looking for any information on OCD as it appears in it's religious form often called 'scrupulosity'. I am especially looking for any Catholic psychological information on this problem. This may also be related to a theoretical temporal lobe epilepsy condition called Waxman-Geschwind disorder or often called just Geschwind's. I became exceedingly hyperreligious with many obsessions and compulsions regarding religion plus compulsive hoarding and temporal lobe epilepsy following an injury to the left temporal lobe. Thanks for any help! Love, Siddigfan

I was hyper religious for awhile. It's a sensitive subject, and I feel guilty when I talk about it. I get deeply bothered about a certain subject. I understand what you are saying.

The best thing for me was to go to a balanced church. Hearing the Bible in balance helps. I know what you mean. I see some people frightened, and talking about Revelations. We need to read Revelations, but some people become obsessed about it.

I could go on,and on but I feel uncomfortable when talking about it. Take care. Brokenfriend

One thing I do know is the Complex Partial Seizures are difficult to diagnose. Are you the one with TLE or is it someone else?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temporal_lobe_epilepsy

TLE can be treated with medications. It's similar to living with mania and depression.

Best of luck on searching out the answer. Have you looked at Joan D'arc???

Are you better? I'm familiar with compulsive praying, and etc.,etc. Peace of mind becomes burden,to burden with OCD,and trying to be a Christian. BF
