I know this is a very old post, but....

Any child with OCD or anxiety issues who refuses to go to school should also be evaluated for Asperger's Syndrome.

Yes I agree..... at least assessed for some form/strain of Autism!!!!!!!!!!!! It's the difficulty of social adjustment etc, that is the issue.
Possibly ??????? ( NOT OFFICIALLY, I'm just suggesting) 98% of kids just go with the flow and adjust to new situations/change. If there is an issue.................. than there may be an ISSUE! And NOT one to be ignored!!
LISTEN to your kids.
Complaints DON'T come from nowhere.
