Cindy, I don't think I have the cure all answer for coping with pain. I have had pain all my life being born with Spina Bifida...last back surgery October 2008...5th one!

Everyday is very different. If I really don't have to go anywhere I can get pretty down and not get dressed for the day...I guess I need to fill my days with something...send a message to me anytime you want someone to talk to.

Also, go to the New Member Forum and introduce yourself...hopefully folks with the same problems will jump in to help! Take care and I will think of a better answer to your question!! Some days its just a good ole Xanax!!

I understand your pain. I share it with u with my own root nerve impingement. There is a herb called Capsicum Capsules Cayenne Extract and its great for choronic nerve pain. Just found out about it today and plan to try it out. This and taking liquid B stress complex vitamines is what I would try. I have the liquid stress B Complex vitamin and take it, and will soon be trying the other. Nerve damage pain is debilitating and I'm sorry your going thruthis!! *hugs*

Hi Cindy ~ When is your surgery? Jeepers, 4 surgeries??? That's awful. That's the problem. Once we have ONE, we end up having to keep having surgery, one after another, after another, etc. etc. etc. It's a never ending cycle.

I've been in severe pain for 24 years and I'm sick of it. I've had 3 surgeries, there will be no more because for one thing, I'm inoperable. I have osteoporosis quite badly so they won't touch me, but I wouldn't let them anyway after the last time. It's because of a surgeon that I'm disabled now.

You cope with pain 24/7 cause you have to! LOL You don''t have much choice. You hope your doc will give you something to help ease it, and go from there.

What kind of surgery are you having? I wish you the very best! God bless and keep us posted. Hugs, Lee
