Default Does anyone use the chat rooms?

...or do I have BO. LOL

No,really...each time I am on here,no-one is ever in the chat rooms.Should I be getting a complex here...?
Would be nice to have a light hearted [or serious even...] banter with a few fellow PD folk.
To date..in 10 years with the disease...I have only met and chatted to one other person with the same illness. YIKES
Do folk in the UK act like they don`t have PD or what????

According to the statistics....I ought to be meeting up with a whole shed load of folk with PD but you can guarantee, when I look around..at the airport, shopping mall, doctors, school pick up...I`m the only one WITH PD.

WHERE ARE YOU ALL IN THE UK???

love
Steff

Teeth hi

I've tried the chat rooms a few times myself but seem to be the only one there. to be honest with you most people use the forums more than the chat rooms in the original braintalk due to a lot of problems and misunderstandings but i'm sure if you meet someone you feel you would like to talk to just mention a time and what chat room and who knows who might show up lol good luck

hi.....

there is a thread in the Social Chat that is titled..i'm in chat. people have subscibed to it and get an email when it is posted to.

that might help here in the pd forum. ( if you are wanting to just chat with people from this forum.)

you just make a little post when you want to chat or when you go into chat.

Many of us from the thoracic outlet syndrome forum have been chatting the last few weeks in the evenings.

usually around 10 pm eastern USA time zone- I don't know how to convert that to UK though-

We would love to visit with you- the more the merrier!

The Neurotalk forum is world wide and growing - tell your UK friends to join in.

I come to chat often. In fact I talked to Jo55 last night - very nice chat about apples and tomatoes and childhood memories. But that was a rare treat, the chat room is empty on 99% of the times I visit it. Try it at 10 pm UK time, Steffi. That is 5 pm here, and a time when people pop in before they start cooking dinner. I hope to 'see' you there.

Default Chat

I go into the chat room at least aeveral times a week. Seldom find anyone there. My most successful time seems to be around 5 in the afternoon. However, that's the end of my workday and I go home.

All the best,

Lloyd

Hi petesmusic,
The best way to let members know when you want to chat is make a new thread with a date & time -and add your time zone or Location so others can figure the time difference.

you can post on the main PD forum page { http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum34.html }- or for the whole NT site post the on the Social Chat
{ http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum35.html }

Lightbulb also........

if any members of PD forum would like Doc to create a designated PD chatroom, as there is now for MS. that can be done.

Many members log straight in to their "home" forums here and so some are not even aware we have chat rooms. But I have noticed that when one or two enter the chatrooms, others tend to follow. Most activity seems in evenings.

anyways,
if you would like a dedicated PD chat room just let us know, and Doc can make it for you.

Then, if you like, you can also schedule chat times when anyone available would know that PWP are meeting in the chatroom. We can do a sticky thread for you to keep track of when chat times would be etc

here is the main entrance to the NeuroTalk FlashChat Rooms
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/chat/flashchat.php

and there is also a link in from the bottom left of the main NT index page http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/index.php, where you can also see who is in chat next to the various rooms.
