That's sure a pretty pic!! We had a decent time...went to DS34's place, ate and went to watch fireworks.

I stayed home but my neighbors all did firecrackers and fireworks in the cul de sac. I spent my evening with Panda in my lap scared to death of the noise! The sound is really amplified in the fireplace. All three cats avoided walking by it all evening.

Atlanta really is a busy place on the 4th. We have the Peachtree Road Race which has been going on for 41 years, I think. Then Lenox Square Mall (which is older than me) has a HUGE fireworks display.

My DS fired up our grill and we cooked chicken and hamburgers. He also took all the screens out of the windows on the back of the house (all 10 of them!) and re-screened them. It looks so nice now.

We didn't do anything because of the heat. But Saturday we worked the veterans tent at our community fest for three hours.

We stayed close to home because starting last Friday through Sunday we got close to 10 inches of rain around here. There were a good number of high levels all over town. They cancelled our fireworks, hopefully we will have it after everything drys out.
