Default just saying hi

hey,

still don't feel normal. Healing sucks. The neck feels great but everything else i
starting to hurt. I guess that's normal. I used to lift weights will I ever get to do that again? My neck was fused June 14, 2010. I am riding a motorcycle daily because it is easier on my shoulder then driving a car. I really want to start lifting weights again but my shoulder still doesn't work well.

Sorry about the pain your going through...I have no experience with the neck. I am a Lumbar person. I have had five surgeries the last one being two years ago. I can say this that ever now every once in a while I will do something that was painful before or that I couldn't even do. I call them my aha moments.
Time is the only thing that helps...however we usually want it now...take care and hope to get to know you better!!

Hi ~ I'm glad your neck is feeling better, but I'm sorry everything else hurts. I can relate to that!

i'm a lumbar person, although I do have a cervical herniation. From what I've been told, I doubt seriously that you'll be able to lift weights again, but don't quote me. Lifting weights even affects the neck! You'll have to ask your doctor about the limitations you're going to have. I know for me, I'm not supposed to lift anything over five pounds. My back is a total wreck.

If you're going to go back to lifting weights, I'd sure be careful and i wouldn't lift any heavy weights. You surely don't want to go thru this again.

Best of luck, and God bless. Hugs, Lee
