I've had this done and I was never TOLD of this possibility but I imagine it could happen if they burn the WRONG NERVES. This should be done under fluoroscopy so that there is NO CHANCE of them burning the wrong nerve - they'll be able to see everything they're doing. They have the monitor right there and the probe is in you so they can see exactly where they are -- there is no reason for any mistakes. I would imagine that it is the doctors who don't use fluoroscopy that make the mistakes -- but I don't know for sure. I'm not a doctor so I could be wrong.
But I don't see how they could cause bladder problems if they can see what they're doing. ??? Anyone else know?
