Cool Had a dream I went to a TBI support group-

That was a first.

Never been to one.

A group meets in SF, but it is on a weekday afternoon.

In the dream, I was focused on finding out if anyone stopped feeling pain after a while, specifically head and nerve pain in the roof of the mouth.

I'm going to try Bowen Therapy tommorow.

Just waiting for pain to go away for the past year or so hasn't produced much.

Someone mentioned it helped them on this forum.

Hopefully it helps.

It has helped me so far. I've had two treatments and I have a third scheduled for this weekend. I'm very optimistic about the results I've experienced with it so far. I hope it helps you too!

I have yearned to go to a brain injury support group for about a year - ever since I thought of it! But they are too few and far between. And when someone is trying to deal with getting a ride and what not, it makes it even more difficult.

Anyway, I intend to start one in my area once I'm doing better and I'm able to.

Thanks!

Following the guidelines- hopefully no shocks to the system in the next week.

I like that they say up-front it usually takes 3 sessions instead of stringing you along until- surprise: 20 sessions.

You might start a support group- very nice.

I will attend the SF someday perhaps to encourage others.

I have definitely had the "shocks" they warn about. If you do get a mood swing, try to remember that this therapy is what caused it... I had forgotten and it seemed like natural emotions to me; my boyfriend was the one who pointed out that it was most likely caused by the Bowen.
