Default no more progesterone - headaches are back...

So, this round of TTC was unsuccessful... likely due to the thyroid problems from the concussion... so now I've been taken off progesterone, and now, 36 hours since my last dose, I can absolutely feel the effects... My head feels like it did a few weeks ago when I began the progesterone... I had enjoyed a couple of weeks almost completely headache free...

any suggestions of any kind? I see the endocrinologist on the 23rd... I think all of my hormones are off to be honest... I don't even know what kind of info to go in with, what tests to ask for... Help?

Everyone here is so absolutely knowledgable... I am hoping you could point me in the right direction so that these issues are resolved asap.

When resting, symptoms are low. With exertion, I still suffer from fatigue, migraines, vision problems, problems thinking or reading, troubles sleeping, issues finding or getting words to my mouth when the headaches are bad, tinnitus, and thyroid issues which I think are due to the concussion. Seen one specialist, and now a few others through insurance review of my case. Hoping for further treatment.

Sorry to hear this round of trying to conceive was not successful and that your headaches have come back. I don't have any suggestions for you, as I'm still trying to figure all this out myself. I'll be watching this thread for my own purposes

I'm glad you got to enjoy a few weeks headache free. I'm not sure what that would be like anymore, my headache just seems to be part of who I am now. I only notice it if it fades a tiny bit or if I get the awful stabbing pain through the back of my head and out my right eye. THAT can't be ignored!

Thanks Starr. IT's a significant difference to before and after progesterone... I am glad to know that I'll be on it again in just a few short weeks, so that is GREAT news... but more importantly, I want to ensure hat my body is working the way it should be... so I am glad I see the endocrinologist soon... Really, I'd like my body to be producing the progesterone it needs, and all the other hormones it needs... I feel bad, because even when my headache was gone, my sex drive is at almost ZERO, which is really unusual for me...

Sex drive? What's that? I'm no longer familiar with the concept. My husband and I have a ongoing (since my fall) joke that when I fell my sex drive shook loose and rolled out my ear. Couple times he's suggested walking back through the woods to find it. Ha ha

Wish I could get some progesterone if it helps the headache, mine is brutal today after spending 2 days bouncing around on the tractor moving manure. Very jolting activity. Heading to lay down for a while to see if that will help.

Not to be too graphic here, but my sex drive is not what it once was either... but it hasn't gone away either! (Thanks to the powers that be!) I'm still rearing to go on most days, but I just don't have the energy to follow through and then when I do, it's like all my parts are broken! It's very frustrating; as I'm sure most of you already know...

I just bought a book called "brainlash" that has a chapter in it about sex after mTBI. I'll let you know if I get any helpful tips from it.

Thinking good thoughts for you Camyam!! I hope you get it! My fingers are crossed for you!

EsthersDoll, if you find anything helpful in that book, I'd love to hear about it!

I'm personally not too worried about the lack of sex drive, I figure once you fall head first off a horse at speed, something is gonna be a bit mucked up. As for my husband's part, I think he's just worried about hurting me! Poor guy!
