do not like McCain. google Charles Keating. Then go to Keating 5.

Keating bilked my DH's grandmother out of a LOT of money. Think Enron. Corporate man all the way.

Actions speak louder than campaign words.

I refer to him as "Sad Sack".

I found the news about Romney very surprising. He certainly has funds at his disposal and as recently as yesterday, was apparently trying to encourage Huckabee to get out of the race so that McCain wasn't THE only choice for a nominee. With his own removal, he's now ensured it.

I am dissappointed but not surprised. I don't care for McCain at all as he has repeated and embellished his war hero story over and over.

Kind of like padding a resume but a slap in the face to those who are really war heros and all our soldiers.

He is not the only soldier to be in a POW camp and those who served with him tell a very different story.

Looks like he has it sewn up.

Rats!!

To me Romney was like an example of what is wrong with America. I want it, I will buy it, spend 35 million or so of your own money to be Prez? Smart business? or was he thinking he could make money off his investment?

Sort of the same feelings on McCain as AZjanie, almost 60,000 young Americans killed in that war, thousands more wounded, mentally affected for life, dude you had a bad time over there, granted, wars aren`t good for anyone!

Still no one strikes a fancy to me, none seem to really understand the situation here and tailor their speeches to suit the audience instead of what really might help.

These leaders may spend us into a depression with our own tax dollars, we can`t fund the worlds problems.

I am not voting republican but I found this strange myself that Romney would back out like this. Do you think that maybe something personal is going on behind the scenes that we don't know about? I am just thinking out loud since it happened so quick and without warning. I fully expected Huckabee to be the first to back out.

Sandy, Romney was spending large amounts of his own money in the race. Figures I heard mentioned was like 35 million, and the results he was getting for that amount of his own money was poor.

As this gets deeper into the primary, and then the race for the presidency the costs will go up. I have to believe the thinking was throwing money in a hole with no bottom and little chance of a win.

Him and Huckabee were like neck and neck for number 2 and Huckabee spent 1/10 the money? McCain with Romney as VP? That wasn`t likely. McCain & Huckabee? Might be some kind of deal? Kelley`s heros? maybe their Republicans? Make a deal?
