Default Acupuncture anyone?

Oh MY GOSH!!!
Today I had my first extensive visit with an acupuncturist. My friend with MS said that it works. I also have low back pain from a bad spine.

Today is the FIRST day in over two months I have no pain from my MS or back after treatment. It's like magic. I can't believe it. She spent about 2 hours and put about 40 PAINLESS needles in my body, let me rest for a bit and then took them out.

Has anyone else tried this? I am going back next Saturday.

She also taped tiny beads to my ears and said if the pain returns to massage the beads, they work like acupresure. I am totally shocked it worked as well as it did.

That's great Earl. I know someone else who has had this done and says it does wonders. I hope it continues to do some good for you as I know you are in a great deal of pain!

Keep us posted on your progress.

Default I'm thinking about it

I have a friend who goes to an acupuncture therapist. She discussed me with him and he swears he helps MS patients. Your experience pushed me a little more in that direction

Earl, that's great. I wish you much success with it! It sounds like you found a GOOD doctor and that makes all the difference in the world. Like regular doctors, all acupunturists are definitely NOT created equal!

I have not been going regularly for my MS but I had been. I can tell you that after he did some "neurotransmission" type of work that my tingling greatly subsided the next day.

BTW, the reason I am a believer is because I had gallstones a few years back and my PCP at the time was an alternative medicine advocate. Instead of rushing me into the hospital to have my gallbladder removed, he allowed me to try to treat naturally before we made a final decision. Attacks subsided and then disappeared. A subsequent sonogram showed one tiny stone where there had been many -- and I've been attack free for over 10 years. Acupuncture was just one thing that I did, but I absolutely attribute the treatment (and herbs he gave me) to at least part of the reason for my success.

Awesome! I'll have to look into that. I had acc for smoking, and it did help for a while.

Keep us posted on your progress, okay?

Earl,

I had my consultation today with an acupunturist. I think I'm going to give it a whirl beginning next week. Hope we both find success in this.
