Hi, I too have a large tarlov cyst in my sacrum. I have the same pain you've decribed and have been seeing a pain management specialist and also researching surgeons that treat this problem. They have me on 200mg of extended release Tramdol and so far has allowed me to work and at least live a somewhat normal life. I cannot exercise or sit for too long, but at least I can still drive and work. I am also taking a laxative to counteract the effects of the pain meds. This medication has so far worked better than the narcotics that were previously prescribed. Feel free to contact me with any questions...I've been dealing with this since April. Good luck!!
