What is the difference between a virgin and a vestal virgin.

I used to watch all those old Egyptian movies (the ones with Edmond Purdom), and in all these movies, they referred to the Vestal virgins and how they worshipped at the temple of Isis (or some such God).

So what's the difference???.

And I know that when you said virginians, you meant virgin, so don't confuse me even more.
