Default No global warming here!

We are at -9 this morning, Northern Maine has a -29 and that is going to be warm compared to tonight and tomorrow morning! We are suppose to be -15 to -20 come tomorrow morning and Northern Maine could get -40.

Now for you in the south let me just tell you that is COLD!

Hi up there! Er, over there. Whatever.

We are at -23 right now, wondering if it will drop as the sun comes up. Tomorrow the wind chill is supposed to be -40 or so here. Good day to stay in, I'd say.

Bob is standing there watching the thermometer, doing play-by-play. "22.0. Oops, now it's 21.9. Oops, now 22.3. 22.4. Oops, up to 21.6...I mean, 21.9."

At least he's warm and happy.

my car started really hard - I had to talk really nice to her, I explained to her after the first time she wouldn't turn over that I promise to let her warm up for at least 20 minutes before I drove her! After the second time of almost turning over and I thought I had it, I had to tell her she was a good car and we needed to get to school this morning and then she can come right home. Then she finally turned over - I padded her dash board and said "thanks Bessie I knew you wouldn't let me down".

Desperate times come to desperate measures - we in Maine talk to our cars to make sure they treat us good!

lol, Char, we named our lumbering beat of a Land Cruiser BESSIE too!

'cause she's an old COW of a a vehicle...

and yes, we talked to her, as she drove the thousands upon thousands of miles across the frozen northern US (Illinois to California in December of 2005) and then, from California, through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Mexico... and then ol' Bessie made it all the way to Belize.

I think the talking definitely helps !! (so does begging, lol!)

BRRRRRRRRRRRRR! We have - 21 right now, w/a wind chill of - 51!!! Can you believe that???? There are power outtages around us and down where my DS lives, but thankfully, we all have power. I shoved the doxies out the door this morn and they looked at me like I was sending them to the electric chair.

I hear ya B2, on the thermometer thing w/guys. My DH has digital, fancy schmancy thermometers in the dining room, living room, and a couple outside, so he checks them all out giving me reports as he goes. Gosh, how will I manage while he's at work???

Everything is closed around here ~~ stay warm everyone.

-10 here in Central Illinois with a wind chill of -28. I canceled my class today and emailed all of my students. I sure I hope they check their email. My leg is just getting more and more stiff in this weather.

I'm chuckling about your husband, DM. It definitely must be a guy thing. Bob goes back and forth from one room to another. Sometimes he goes in the other room and stands in front of that thermometer, hollering out to me, "What is it out there?"

WHO CARES!!!
