Default NJOY smokeless electronic cigarette

Ok, I am not sure if there has been a thread on this yet but I am going for it.

A friend of mine brought me over his extra NJOY electronic cigarette today to try. I am charging the battery and he let me try his own one. It is amazing. It is just like smoking a real cigarette- without the smoke. It is kinda pricey to start ($79.00) for the kit but that is a one time charge, then refill cartons are $20.00 for 20 refills. Each refill is equal to 1 - 1 1/2 packs of smokes. I will let you know later this weekend how it goes but to be able to "smoke" inside, in the car, restaurants and everywhere smoking is not allowed is cool.

I checked out NJOY on youtube and it really is astounding.

Have any of you other smokers tried it?

Let us know how it goes, Earl. Does it satisfy the cravings? etc. I'd love to give up real cigs for the reasons you mentioned. I've tried the 'patch' and Nicorette gum. Didn't work for me.

Hey, the NJoy is not an aid in quitting, it is a substitute for smoking normal cig's.

I have been using it since Friday and I am totally satisfied. No nic-fits, no problems, it is really nice to be able to smoke in my house and car. Have any of you checked out the youtube videos on it? I suggest checking that out.

So, about 2 days in and I am very happy with it.

cool it should also help you quit right once the nicotine is out of your system? hmm I just looked at it going to have to look into this

wait it still has nicotine, i missed that. isnt the nicotine what causes the cancer not the actual smoke ?

This contains Nicotine, Water and propylene glycol. Normal Cigarettes contain 4000 chemicals, so is this a "safe" cigarette? probably not, but is it "SAFER" yes. here's what the fda says about the propylene glycol.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has determined propylene glycol to be "generally recognized as safe" for use in food, cosmetics, and medicines. It is used in food coloring, and flavoring, as an additive to keep food, medicines and cosmetics moist, and in machines that simulate smoke, although usage in simulating smoking devices is not currently included in the list of uses generally recognized as safe by the FDA. In NJOY, propylene glycol functions to provide the vapor mist that looks like smoke and to suspend flavor

Like I said before, I am not looking to quit, I like smoking. My luck, if I quit I would get hit by a bus the next day. I just have this thread because many smokers are stuck out in the cold and this is a way to be able to smoke indoors.

Also, the website is ww.njoy.com

Earl, thanks for posting this! I would love to try this electronic cig. My grandma used to walk around with a fake menthal cig when she quit and we tried it and it sucked big time. If this cig gives the feeling of a real one that would be great! Plus, the added fun in placing it in my mouth in a smokeless place appeals to me. It's the devilish side of me. lol

Default regarding nicotine

Unless you are a fetus, and I'm guessing since you are using a keyboard you are not, nicotine is not anything to worry about. As far as health effects, it is comparable to caffiene.

It is the smoke that causes the harm. If you smoked broccoli it wouldn't be any better for you than tobacco. Burn anything and draw it into your lungs and it can cause harm. Inhalers and ecigarettes don't actually create smoke so they are much safer than smoking.

I've seen the Njoy booth at the mall for months and figured it was just another gimmick. Now that I've read about it, i'll be going to the mall SOON to try it . It kinda reminds of the Nicotrol Inhaler that requires a prescription. I quit for 3 years after using it. I stupidly started smoking again after those 3 years . My mom died last year from lung cancer after smoking for 45 years. I HAVE to do something. I feel like a complete a-hole for continuing this habit. I think this thing might be the key for me and my sister . I will let everyone know how it goes as soon as payday comes .
