Ooo I did it!

No one knows this, I've kept it secret while I researched. It's taken me a couple of years and now I am ready to do it.

I finally got the nerve up to contact the local college dean about entering their therapeutic massage therapy degree program! I am going for the degree so I can work with those who have illnesses like ms. It's not going to be easy but in the end Jim will benefit greatly from the massages and I will too as I will have a career to fall back on should something ever happen to him.

I am nervous and excited all at the same time. I have researched the various degrees I could pursue, ran down all the pros and cons and this seems to be the right fit for me. I am ready.

I had no idea six years ago my design career and masters degree would be halted. I had no idea what I would do. I feel good about this but I am nervous. I'll be surrounded by young students who will probably think I am too old to be there.

You go girl!!!!

In some states, you can do massages from your home...we have a girl here that does...she can't afford day care so she works from home.

That's what I would like to do Momma. Working from home would be the best scenerio for Jim and I.

Waubonsee in Sugar Grove. Kish doesn't offer a degree in massage, just certification which only allows you to do massages for enjoyment. The degree allows you to work with more clients who are ill and have sports injuries.
