Default No mother should hear her daughter in pain this way

I got a call from my youngest DD this afternoon. Thought it was starange because she should have been at work. Well on her way to work some one's foot fell off her brake and she rammed into the back end of my DD car. So she was in a lot of back and neck pain. I have never heard her in such pain. The only time a Mom should hear her DD in that much pain should be when she is in labor giving me another grandchild! Luckily there were no injuries except for a lot of muscle aches and pains. Of course it's a pain in the butt after an accident getting everything done. I'm glad my son in law is a good cook and loves to cook.

You had me going for a minute with the "someone's foot fell off " LOL
On my screen it is at the end of the first sentence.

Hope DD is well soon.

That is awful. I hope your DD is okay with no lingering injuries. I pray she heals well and gets that TLC from her husband. She needs it.

You must have been shaking up when you got that call. Take care of you too. Mothers earn their gray/white hair, one at a time, with worry over their kids and/or Grandkids.

Awww, your right, we should never hear our kids in such pain. Glad to hear there were no major injuries. Did she go to the hospital to get checked out?

Oh, man! Sorry to hear this, Doyd. Please make sure she documents everything carefully, these kinds of injuries have attitudes of their own. Yay for son-in-law!

Yikes Doyd! Your'e so right; it's a helpless feeling to hear your child in that kind of pain. My DD once got hit from behind by a semi at a stoplight and my heart sank when she called. We documented everything that was in her car (Christmas presents, clothes etc) as she was coming home for the holidays. His companie's ins paid for everything.

We had her checked out right away and all she came away w/was a back ache and lots of glass in her hair. So glad your DD isn't hurt worse. Please keep us posted.

i agree with being seen by at least her own dr and getting this incident documented. it sounds like she got some whiplash and may need some medical care. plus, it may get worse in the days following the accident.

if she wants any compensation from the driver's insurance company she'll need documentation.

she should take some pictures and get a copy of the police report.

but, i digress. get well wishes going out to your dd.
