Being as I'm on the sugar wagon, I wrote this for my grandchildren. Some of you may remember my "Ode to a pan of Brownies"

The Easter Bunny didn't come!
I think he is a dirty bum!
The boys upstairs got lots of eggs...
The chocolate kind for which I beg.

But Mister Bunny says to me
"I feel your pain, I hear your plea
But Easter candy is bad for you."
I don't care, I want some too!

I kicked, I screamed, I misbehaved
But it seems I won't be saved
For chocolate eggs and other treats
Are not for grannies who love sweets.

So on with Easter, I'll survive
I should give thanks to be alive.
But while you stuff your chubby face
And chocolate morsels stick in place....
Please excuse me if I lean
and lick your face to make it clean!

Here is this year's Easter rhyme from this silly grandma. I just went to the Easter Bunny store and bought Easter eggs on sale - for me.

Where do the Easter Bunnies live?
There can’t be only one,
There must be lots of them to give
Out Easter eggs to all.
One Easter Bunny would not get done
Until the end of Fall.

There must be Easter Bunnies in towns,
All over the country too.
Maybe they live like rabbits on downs,
Or maybe they live like us
In houses just like people do,
They may even take the bus.

When Easter time then comes around
The Easter Bunnies shop
For Easter eggs that are only found
In special candy stores.
Baskets filled, off the busses they hop
And leave them by our doors.
