Thumbs up 23andme goes global for $25

i'm pretty off but wanted to share lizzie from 23andme's response about the international cost :

Great news -- effective immediately international orders will have the same total price (inclusive of shipping) as US domestic orders. $25 flat fee.

Our goal is to use the power of technology and the internet to build a global community. We are not constrained by geography -- as many traditional research institutions are -- and we must take the fullest advantage of that to improve our chances of research breakthroughs. We do not want price to ever be a barrier to participation in our research initiative. Please feel free to share this on Neurotalk and any other forums you're a part of.

thank you lizzie!

If you have tried the coupon and it doesn't work, sign up again at michaeljfox.org. But, my understanding is that many of the coupons are working beyond the originally stated expiration date.

Best, Debi

Default as i typed the post above

lizzie says it better so i'm changing this from my words to straight from 23andme:

We just haven't implemented the change for existing codes just yet -- turned out to be a bit more technically challenging than expected. We have engineering working on this today and I'll confirm for you when that's completed. Can you post that the policy change is confirmed, but is still being implemented and you'll post when you hear from me that the change is in place?

Default from 23andme

We're all set in terms of international shipping. All active codes (have not been used, have not expired) should work now, as well as all new codes that are generated.

Coming is a written response to the NEJM article.

Default no response yet.....

In a previous post I said that I had not had any response from 2 signups at MJFF, therefore no coupon either. I am from the UK. I would like to know where to go from here. Should I try again at MJFF? OR is it still taking time for them to process non US signups. I would really like to participate in this.

Default Many Thanks

I would just like to thank Debi for her commitment and help. She quickly sorted out the problem I had with the 23 and me coupon. I can only say it is delightful to experience such friendly efficiency! Many thanks Debi, it is your personal touch in all your communications here that inspire confidence both in the process that we have been invited to participate in and in MJFF.

Many thanks
Lindy
