Hi everyone,
I just got an email from my step nanan saying that her mum passed away this evening. She has been seriously ill for some time now and the doctors admitted her into hospital last week as she was in lots of pain and was seriously ill. They gave her Morphine and a drip with fluids in it but basically said that there was nothing they could do for her as her body was shutting down. They gave her 3 days to live on Friday and she passed away today. It is a blessing in a way as she was seriously ill and in lots of pain but is hard for the family at the same time. My step nanan lives in Spain which is about a 3 hour plane journey with my grandad. She came over last week to see her mum for the week but the nurses told her to go back to Spain as there was no point in her being there really as she couldn't do anything. My grandad will be coming over with my step nanan for the funeral and we will probably go and stop with them for a day or so to give our sympathy to her family. Please pray for my step nanan and her family as they are dealing with this sad news! Thank you all!

Thank you all for the prayers - they are much appreciated by us all!
My grandad and step nanan are getting the ferry from Spain tomorrow so will be driving tonight and then should get in England sometime tomorrow night. I'm not sure when the funeral is yet as I don't think they have a date but we are hoping to go and visit them this Sunday or Monday. It's a 4+ hour journey by car so will be pretty tough for me but it would be a shame not to go and see them whilst they are over here. Thanks again and i'll keep you posted!

I'm praying for comfort to come your way for you and all your family. I know what you mean, that in a way it is a blessing. But is so hard for the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I just wanted to thank you all again for the lovely prayers and thoughts - they mean a lot!!
My grandad and step nanan have come over from Spain until next Thursday for the funeral and to help the family out. The funeral is on Thursday which will be pretty stressful as it isn't until 12pm and then they have to drive back nearly straight away to get the ferry. We were going to go down and see my grandad and step nanan but my mum can't get time off work and tomorrow is the Grand Prix so it will be really busy down where they are. I really wish we could have got to go down as I really wanted to see them! I have passed your messages onto my step nanan and she is overwhelmed by the support and sends heartfelt thanks to you all! Thanks again - you're all the best! Ali
