Red face Oh, Cara...

My son managed to slice off the tip of his finger today, trying out the new
food processor! Blood everywhere!

So I had to do the whole meal myself and deal with him as well. Luckily
there is a 24hr Walgreen's not far..so hubby went to get the bandages.

It can't be stitched, and was bleeding again when I left, so he will have to
go to an urgent care tomorrow, if it keeps up.
It is about 1/2 inch in diameter, and we could not find the hunk of tissue to
stick back on (sometimes this works)...

This was totally unexpected...we have never had an accident on Xmas before!
And I don't know how he managed it...

The rest of the day went fine...but now I am worried about him!

Youch! Mrs D!
I hope the bleeding stops and he feels better soon! That must have been quite a shock...and so scary for you all!

I remember slicing into my finger just before a kids birthday party, I think the kids were pretty upset by the site of blood and I was freaking out that I'd just ruined all that food! LOL I didn't cut it off though...

Wow! How'd he manage to do that? My food processor has a lot of things so you can't turn it on unless it is fully assembled and you can't get to the blade. That's just awful!

I managed to burn myself when I took out a roasting pan. It kind of hurt all day but I ignored it. Last night before bed I finally took the time to look at the burn, a good 4" long one on my forearm just below the elbow, it was all horribly blistered! I had no idea it was so bad. So I put some antibiotic ointment on it and bandaged it up good.

OOOOoooch!! to both. I hope everyone is faring better tomorrow.

I read that packing a burn with sugar or honey would speed healing. I don't know how true it is but the notes I read from individuals who said they did it were really thought provoking... maybe something you might want to read up on first though as I don't know for sure if the sources were any good.
