Poor lil' thing. I feel so sorry for her and for you watching this happen and can't do anything. Maybe you should try another doctor. Your right she is only gonna get weaker ...something will have to be done. God Bless you both.

Hi.
My 6 yr old daughter had her decompression two weeks ago. Her vomiting was awful. Four days of this whether she ate or not. That is now over. I hope you daughter is over that. We are still in the hospital. She is having awful headaches. Although, they are not as bad as the first few days, they are bad. My poor baby, I hate to see her like this. I certainly understand what you are experiencing. Dr don't want to let her go home until she's headache free for 24 hrs. We live 5.5 hrs away, so I have no problem staying here. There are no pediatric neurosurgeons back home. I'll stay in town forever if I have to. Drs here wanna make sure she is not leaking CSF. I'm so paranoid, I think I see the area around her incision swelling. Just sitting here praying that her headaches resolve. Sorry I'm not much help. What I can tell you is that you need to continue to push for an answer. Just know that you are not alone. I will keep you in my thoughts. Is your daughter having headaches? |

I would recommend this doctor. He is so good. He did a tethered cord release and a decompression on my son. There are a lot of doctors that do these surgeries, and I honestly think they don't know what their doing. He does.

Another surgeon in that group, George Raque, is fantastic. He has excellent communication skills, good bedside manner, informative, never hurried, works well with others and enjoys a good reputation relative to results.
