My name is Meg and i've only just been diagnosed with Chiari. I'm waiting now to find out when surgery will be done to try and correct this condition. The pain is unbearable at times, in my head, neck, shoulder, chest, arm, wrist down to my finger tips. Sometimes my whole upper body feels like it is being strangled or that i'm wearing a corset that is tied way too tight :-/ And i dont wear corsets lol I hope that your recovery now will be quicker and better for you. I guess i have all this to look forward to. I never thought i would ever be looking forward to having brain surgery, tho i'm not looking forward to it, i just want the pain to stop and to try and get some sort of life back. Hang in there Jo Anne :) xoxo |

Anyone with these symptoms?
I had decompression surgery with a duraplasty in February 2012, since then there have been days when i had headaches and chiari pain but nothing too bad or unexpected. Until lately.
I have been having intense headaches almost every night, looking down is extremely painful and washing my hair sets up the pain for the night. my fingers have been tingling occasionally. also, I'm not sure if this is chiari related but i have been having hiccups almost every day for the past couple weeks. I would love to avoid the doctor but this has me a little worried. Anyone had these symptoms post decompression? |
