It sounds like water flushing through my head. It causes pressure behind my eyes and there's pain down the left side of my face and around my ear. Is this normal or should I try to get in to see my NS early? If it is normal then does anyone Know what it is or if it's dangerous if not checked? My husband and Kids are very supportive and are handling everything at home so I have plenty of time to rest and recover.

My 13 yr old son had the same surgery on the very same day as you. He seemed to do well at first but now is having a terrible time with the headaches and low grade temp, inability to sleep well, and lack of appetite with nausea when he does eat. I took him to the family Dr. today and he said that he has a cold which may or not be causing these symptoms. He told me to call the neurosurgeon whose ni\urses told me that none of these symptoms have anything to do with the chiari and we should go to a headache clinic. I don't trust their opinion on this as everything I have researched shows all these sympotms are definately from the chiari. We have a 2nd opinion scheduled on the 15th and are considering going the long drive to a chiari specific institute if we are not given some answers. I also would appreciate some insight from anyone reading this. To the person starting this thread lets try to keep this updated so we can see how each other's recovery is going. Good Luck!
