My daughter was diagnosed after a CT for a concussion. We followed up with an MRI and say a nero surgeon yesterday. He said that he no longer lets Chiari Malformations go due to 5 children in his practice that are now paralyzed after being watched and becoming injured by whiplash... such as the last was a boy in a jumpie house. My daughter has NO symptoms. I too found out I have a malformation after going in for a CT for headaches. I haven't had an MRI yet.
Anyone else know of or can share their opinion on operating to avoid a tragedy? Thank you! |
