Default Having surgery for CM!

Hi I'm new to this, I'm 26 have two young girls and fiancé. I have known of my CM for bout 5 years and my symptoms/side affects have been getting worse and more serious gradually, but the sped up quite quickly towards the beginning of this year. I have been going for yearly MRI scans to keep an eye on it, but just recently my neurologist who I see has recommendede having surgery, so I'm on the waiting list and I'm just TERRIFIED!!

Is anyone else in this position at the moment? Or have had the surgery and offer any insight...

Any replies will be appreciated so much as I'm feeling quite alone in this at the moment.

Thankyou
