I asked my pain doc if my hip pain could be caused by my C spine issues (You name it I got it - reversed curve, compressed cord, bulges, etc). He says no, it's most likely the syrinx, T5- T8.
(Weird, no doc ever thought any of my symptoms were from my sm before) The pain feels like hip socket is worn out, almost fractured. It is pretty bad when I move at all or certain positions when I lay down. It's okay sitting. At times I also have nerve pain down the leg like shocks. Wondering if anyone with sm also has this type of pain? Reason I ask is I may have ms (still in limbo) and while it's not hugely common, several msers do also have this same type of thing. It'll get horrible like this for weeks/months then be gone like nothing ever happened. I'm going for an x ray, just to be sure it's just some kind of nerve pain.
