Default symptoms coming back after decompression surgery

hi my name is michael. in august of 2006 i had the chiari decompression surgery and then in june of 2007 i had a cervical lamenctomy. now it is september of 08 and my headaches are back and my neck and back pain have become just about unbearable. and i am also having very bad leg pains also. what i was wanting to know is if anyone had the decompression surgery for chiari and had there symptoms come back and what was done about it if they did. it seems like the pain i am having now is much worse than before the decompression surgery. something tells me im gonna have to go through the surgery again.

who did your surgery ? Were they a chiari expert. If not you may need to find one . where do you live they are located all over the US.

I just recently had the decompression surgery, 11/10/2008, but I would do it ALL over again if I had to. I found this web site after a friend of mine recommended it. It's called the Chip's Chiari Page. Now he HAS NOT had to have the surgery over again that I know of, but it did help to find other answers to my questions. I also had a top notch surgeon in my area do my surgery. He is the chief of surgery at my hospital. Have you tried the Chiari Malformation Institute? You can find them by typing in Chiari Malformation Institute in your search engine. I KNOW that you can probably find your answers there. They talk about all of the surgeries that they have to redo due to botched first time decompression surgeries. This may help. Good luck to you and if you need any more help or have questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
