I too had a leak in my spine after surgery. Nov. 24,2014 I had a lumbar lumpectomy and fusion. Stayed in hospital overnight. Went home thought this is not so bad, went to bed and next morning my painterly went through the door. thought it was post operative pain, and ok, this is normal right, wrong! It was the most excruciating pain in my life. My sister took me to the hospital and they said fluid built up in my back that my legs felt heavy.

Back into surgery I go. I feel so much better now. Not to much pain, because back brace keeps my spine aligned.
They said the fluid had backed up.

Don't give up hope, and do exactly what the doctor ordered.
