Default Failed Surgery

Has anyone else had failed surgery for Chiari? I had my surgery 2 yrs ago. At first I felt a bit better. Now I have headaches. Spots in my vision. Numbness all over my body. Occasional vertigo. Memory problems. Burning spots. Ringing i my ears. Loss of hearing i one ear.

I have read that the chiari symptoms can come back at anytime.

Hey I had surgery two years ago also. I was fine for about eight months, but then the symptoms returned. I have headaches pretty much every day, tingling, numbness, weakness, double vision, and am tired ALL of the time. No matter how much sleep I get I still want to sleep. Have you been back to your surgeon or gone to a neurologist to get checked out?

I have not been back. The neurosurgeon who did the surgeries is quite a ways from home but within driving distance. They said I could go back to my local neurosurgeon so I finally made an appointment. BUT a couple of days before I was supposed to go they called and said he doesn't want me as a patient and to go back to the other one. I am trying to find someone closer who will take me on.

I didn't realize that surgery could fail. It can be successful, work for a while with symptoms returning at anytime or it can fail completely.

For me it's going to be really tough because I got laid off and lost my health insurance.
