Default Blood test question

Is RF antibodies and CCP antibodies present in everyones blood? if not mine were RF-7 and CCP- <16, does that mean that I may or will develop Rheumatoid arthritis? or am I the 1 to 5% of the population that has them present?

Hey Mathew2009, if both CCP & RF positive most likely you have RA and will likely get more severe in the future

If positive for CCP but not RF is possiable to have early RA, and/or may develope it later

If negitive for CCP & positive RF then clinical test and symptoms are more effective means to detect the possiablty of RA or some other inflammatory condition.

If negitive for both CCP & RF less likely you have RA however RA is a clinical DX and can be present even without positive autoantibodies.

Also if you do have RA smoking and drinking makes symptoms worse.

Hopes this helps!!
