Default Calcium and OA

Does anyone take calcium for arthritis please? I have widespread osteoarthritis and was speaking to a scientist (Leukaemia Research) he looked at me as if I was stupid when I said I was not taking supplements, he said it worked wonders for his mother. I also have kidney stones, so I do not know if I should take it. I will ask my doc next time I go, but just wondering if anyone else takes calcium for OA.

TIA

Cheers

D
