Default Need help finding a RA doctor in NC

Ended up in the Er a couple nights ago, ached all over some places worse than others (left shoulder down to fingers, I couldn't use) plus the swelling.

My Mom has RA and cried when she saw me, of course that didn't make me feel much better.

The people in the ER mentioned RA a couple of times, but weren't set up for that kind of testing etc. they made sure nothing was broken etc.

I have other problems to deal with also, like Primary Progressive MS, Fibro, OA and who knows what else they can pull out their butts.

According to my Mom I need to wipe the floor of the pain doctor who isn't helping and get into see a real RA doctor.

The doctor that DX'ed her yrs ago is gone so I thought I would ask on here.

My MS likes the cool weather but not the arthritis OUCH!!!!

Thanks

To find a good rheumatologist, possibly the Arthritis Foundation may have a list:

I tried looking for whether there is a chapter in your state, but was lost in navigating the site .

While looking for one, this might also help some:

It might be worth your while to pop on up to Norfolk; we have some pretty good ones here. I know the drive can be a pain, especially on Fridays but thought I would mention it.
